Herne Bay Tennis club, which now includes Herne Bay Pickleball club, is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation regsitered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. (Charity no: 1205461). The club has 6 all-weather floodlit carpet tennis courts with 4 pickleball courts marked on one tennis court. There is a small clubhouse and seating area and members are able to use the Hub Pavilion and Quinn bar.
Our coaching services are provided by Infinity Tennis headed up by Gavid Vickers.

Welcome to our club.
Welcome to Herne Bay Tennis Club a thriving friendly club offering tennis for all ages and abilities including beginners and children. Our club was established in 1891 with the first recorded inter-club match being played on the 27th June 1898!
We are now located at "Herne Bay Sports Hub" where we can enjoy 6 all weather, floodlit courts with a MatchPlay 2 surface and our own state of the art clubhouse. We also have 4 pickleball courts marked on one tennis court. The Sports Hub shares a Pavilion with showers and changing facilities, a bar and viewing terraces upstairs. Members are entitled to a discount on drinks and bookings of the Pavilion.
We are a competitive club running over twenty teams in three leagues throughout Kent, in both the summer and winter seasons, in addition to our regular club play social sessions and club tournament.
We welcome both adult and junior new members and have a program of coaching to offer something for every ability and age!

Members must adhere to the Government guidelines at all times. If a member has - A high temperature, - a new continuous cough, - loss of the sense of taste or smell, THEY MUST NOT ATTEND THE CLUB and should refer to the NHS & PHE guidance on self isolation.
CLUB PLAY SESSIONS (Adults Over 18 only, except by invitation from the Head Coach.)
Monday & Wednesday Mornings 10am-12.30pm.
Tuesday & Thursday Evenings 6 -9pm
Saturday Afternoons 1.30 - 4pm
Sunday Afternoons 1.30 - 3.30pm Improvers & Beginners Club Play (For members who are not confident enough or familiar with the doubles game to play at other Club Play Social sessions.)
To enjoy Club Play you need to be a competent player with a good understanding of the doubles game, at Improver, Intermediate or Advanced standard. These are all mix in sessions where everyone gets a chance to play, meet other members and have a competitive enjoyable game.
If you are uncertain of your playing Standard, please speak to one of the coaching team.
Pickleball: Friday & Sunday Mornings 10am -12noon
Monday & Wednesday Afternoons 12.30-1.30pm
Friday evening 6-8pm
Family play: Pickleball & tennis, Sunday morning 9-10am.
