Juniors

Our coach is Nick Wibberley, an LTA qualified tennis coach, who will be assisted by Matt Hoffmeister. Nick  has a Sports Coaching Degree Course from the University of Central Lancashire and now works at Herne Bay High School as their Coach Programme Co-Ordinator and school to Club Links Development Officer. He will be coaching in some of the local junior schools on behalf of Herne Bay Tennis Club and will be organising after school clubs and summer tennis coaching sessions.

Coaching sessions for juniors are on Saturday mornings as follows:

  • 9.15 – 10.15am Age 5-11 years
  • 10.30 – 11.30am Age 11+

This year we will be charging £3.50 per session.

Over the summer holidays, morning coaching sessions will be introduced on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am – 12noon for anyone aged 5 upwards. The cost will be £5 per 2 hour session. Nick will also be organising a junior tournament to run throughout the summer with the Finals being held in September. A parent and junior tournament will also be organised.
